Saturday, Sunday Sept. 10/11
Concert Choir retreat to Upham Woods. An overnight of rehearsing and fellowship. Depart Saturday at 9:30 A.M. return Sunday at 5:00 P.M. Student cost will be $65.00 and includes 3 meals and lodging. Participation is optional but joyfully encouraged.
Tuesday, September 27
Cardinal Chorale Informance/General Membership Meeting of the MHS Choral Boosters. 7:30 P.M. MHS Choir Room (1342). This year’s Cardinal Chorale will give a presentation of music from class. Parents will be introduced to the Choral Boosters. Refreshments will be served All parents of MHS Singers are encouraged to attend.
Monday, October 10
(official school field trip) Concert Choir to sing at the Big Eight Choral Festival at Sun Prairie High School. Schools from the conference combine for an all day festival with guest conductor, Dr Robert Demaree from the U of W- Platteville. 2:30 P.M. performance on Monday in the Sun Prairie PAC: Parents and public encouraged to attend.
Friday, October 14
Concert Choir to sing the National Anthem at the Homecoming Football Game. Report to the choir room at 6:45. Wear Cardinal colors and dark jeans.
Friday, October 21
(official school field trip) Cardinal Chorale travels to the University of - Whitewater for a day long Choral festival. Depart 7:00AM,return 4:30 PM. Cost is $15.00 per student. Lunch is “out of pocket”.

Big Night of Bright Lights. Singers in the district, grades 6- 12 will meet for a day of sharing show choir presentations and present an evening concert with guest headliners. 7:00 PM, MHS PAC

Monday, November14
(official school field trip) Members of Chamber Singers will travel to Carthage College,
Kenosha, for a day long festival. Performances, clinics and Campus tour are highlights of the day. We’ll leave at 8:00 A.M. and return by 3:15 PM. Cost including lunch and bus is $20.00.
Tuesday,November 22
Concert Choir will rehearse from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at the Marriott with Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra for the Holiday Pops Concert.
Saturday,Nov. 26 & Sunday, Nov. 27
Concert Choir performs at Holiday Pops with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra.
Saturday,11:00 A.M. final sound check, 7:30 call for an 8:00 Concert.
Sunday, 12:30 call for a 1:00 Concert. The concerts are open to the public and have sold out in past years. The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra will mail ticket orders to Concert Choir Families in the fall. It will work best if singers can commit to both concerts.
Wednesday, Dec. 7
(official school field trip) Dress Rehearsal for Winter Concert- all choir students. Class periods 1-4, Performing Arts Center. Combined numbers and logistics of the concert will be finalized. All choral students are expected to attend.
Thursday, Dec. 8
(required concert) MHS Vocal Music Winter Concert- 7:30 P.M. at the Performing Arts Center. All choir students in five Choirs will present an evening of seasonal music for the whole family. Singers will report at 6:30, dressed and ready on stage. Attendance at this concert is required for course completion.
Thursday, December 15
Chamber Singers “Tour de Middleton”. Chamber Singers will perform at area venues including hospitals, nursing and retirement homes and middle schools. 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Lunch on our own. Dinner is provided.
Saturday, Dec. 17 & Sunday, Dec. 18
MHS Madrigal Dinners- 6:00 P.M. Middleton High School Courtyard. The Chamber Singers and Drama students present an evening of Renaissance style music, drama, revelry and a five course meal. Tickets by reservation only. Ticket mailing to all vocal music families in the fall.

Mandatory sound check for all Country Breakfast Feature Performers who are not using the “House Band” or School Accompanists. Acts will sign up for 20 minute times on stage. . We’ll begin at 6:00 PM. and finish about 9:00 PM. Performance order will be determined at this sound check. Large groups do not attend this rehearsal.

Middleton Choral Boosters host the Country Breakfast. 9:30 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the MHS Student Center and Courtyard. The Country Breakfast is the most important fundraiser of the year and features a country style breakfast and silent auction. Many parent and student volunteers will be needed to cook, wait tables and prepare silent auction items. - All choir students are encouraged to perform. A good chance for solos and small ensembles to prepare acts. Family Acts are strongly encouraged.
Saturday, March 3
District Solo and Ensemble. 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Middleton High School. The Wisconsin School Music Association’s festival gives student an opportunity to prepare arts song for adjudication. Parents and families are welcomed to attend performances. Schedules are available the week prior. Special time requests can be made available at registration. - All choir students are able to participate.
Wednesday, March 21
Cardinal Choir Showcase Concert. Entry level Band, Choir and Orchestra share an evening concert. Students in Cardinal Chorale and parents are expected to remain for the duration of the concert to support all Cardinal Ensemble musicians. 7:30 P.M., MHS PAC.

Members of Concert Choir and Cantus join the MHS Drama Club for a Concert Tour to New York City
Monday, April 2
Concert Choir will host Gustavus Adolpus Concert Choir, St. Peter, Minn. for an afternoon exchange, pot luck supper and an evening concert. 7:30 PM, St Bernard's Church, Middleton

An Evening with Cantus. Members present an additional spring concert. We’ll meet our guest choir at 3:30 PM share dinner and 7:00 PM concert. This will be our WSMA Large group experience
Saturday, April 21
WSMA State Solo and Ensemble -UW Platteville. Singers who qualify at district advance for adjudication and ratings. All Day- open to the public. Students can request times at registration.
Tuesday, May 15
The Middleton Choral Boosters will host a Volunteer Recognition Reception. All parents and friends who served at an event are welcome to rejoice in our accomplishments. The reception will be help in the PAC Lobby just prior to the Spring Choral Concert 6:45 PM
Tuesday, May 15
Choral Program Spring Concert. 7:30 P.M., Performing Arts
(required concert) Center. All Choral Students in five choirs perform with a special send off to Seniors. Student should be dressed and ready on stage at 6:45 P.M. This year’s concert will conflict with Softball play-offs. Attendance at this concert is required for course completion.
Monday, May 21
MHS Music Awards- 6:30 P.M. Student Center/ Courtyard. All musicians from Band, Choir and Orchestra and their families gather for refreshments and presentation of awards and senior send offs. Solo and Ensemble Medals, participation letters and summer camp scholarships will be awarded.
Sunday, June 3
Concert Choir volunteers sing at Baccalaureate Service at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Middleton at 7:30 P.M. A night to honor graduating seniors. Singers should report at 6:15 P.M.
